Naaleh Takes Academic, Spiritual, Social-Emotional and Extracurricular Programming to Zoom

Over the last few weeks, schools across the world have been charged to digitize the daily academic experience for their students. Naaleh has adapted seamlessly to this new landscape, simulating an all-encompassing, virtual Naaleh experience that runs the gamut from academic to spiritual, social-emotional and extracurricular programming typically available to students. In addition to a robust schedule of classes, students joined over zoom for mishmar, cooking demos, dance class, games and lunches facilitated by grade mechanchot, an improv workshop, scavenger hunt, game night with faculty and their families, words of inspiration from guest speakers, a school talent show and more. Student committees met to plan events, parent-teacher conferences were replaced by phone conferences, departments joined digitally to brainstorm as usual. Daily riddles, craft and fitness challenges, hilarious videos from madrichot and check-ins from academic and social services flooded student and faculty inboxes. It was remarkable to be able to create a sense of connection and community through the digital platform and to see such an outpouring of creative energy, talent and dedication fill the void created by social distancing.
