Yavneh Eighth Grade Student Raises Funds to Help Fight Coronavirus

When Yavneh closed, Ari Lewis, a 14 years old from New Milford, found himself wasting too much time. He decided that he wanted to do his part and raise funds to help with the coronavirus crisis. Lewis taught himself how to draw personalized sneakers on an iPad, and started telling his friends and family that he would personalize one for a donation to purchase masks for the local hospitals in need.

Little did he know, that in one week, he would raise over $700, and the first batch of masks have already been ordered. Friends, family members and Yavneh faculty all stepped forward to support this initiative.

Below, are some of the designs that he has already completed. If you would like to order your own personalized sneaker iPad drawing, please email [email protected]
