On Yom Hazikaron, Naaleh students joined a virtual discussion with Jonathan Sidlow, a former lone soldier and paratrooper in the IDF during the 2014 war in Gaza. Jonathan answered each question with an raw, honest and passionate account of his involvement in the Israeli army, including what motivated him to volunteer and how it has shaped the trajectory of his life. Currently a medical student in Israel, Jonathan is the author of “What Was Once a Dream,” which chronicles his journey.
