Kol hakavod to Reiut Cohn (eighth grade), Ayelet Poupko (seventh grade) and Millie Schwartz (seventh grade) who recently competed in the Dr. Shimshon Isseroff USA Chidon HaTanach National Finals.
Poupko, BPY Class of 2020, said she studied with her grandfather for seven months for the National Finals. She described spending a lot of time with her classmates who also participated. “We shared ideas, we were there for each other and I am so proud of the three of us for making it to the National Finals for the second time!! It was spectacular seeing how many other kids from around the country dedicated their time and put in effort to study Tanach. It showed so much achdut, and it showed that nothing can really stop Am Yisrael from being “am echad b’lev echad,” even if we all are currently stuck at home, physically separate from each other. Preparing for and participating in the Chidon HaTanach this year was an amazing journey and privilege. It truly has been a heart-warming experience!”
BPY is so proud of their commitment, knowledge and dedication to Tanach studies. Kol hakavod!
