(Courtesy of Chabads of Teaneck and Hackesack) The Chabad houses of Teaneck and Hackensack are inviting the community to a lecture with bestselling author Mendel Kalmenson, as they commemorate the yahrzeit of Lubavitcher Rebbe Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneersohn, of righteous memory.
The lecture, which will be a Zoom event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be presented by Rabbi Mendel Kalmenson, the bestselling author of “Positivity Bias.” Speaking about the event, Kalmenson said: “During the lecture, you will learn life-transforming lessons to help you lead a more positive life.”
Rabbi Kalmenson is the rabbi of Beit Baruch and executive director of Chabad of Belgravia, London, where he lives with his wife, Chana, and children. He is the author of the popular books “Seeds of Wisdom” and “A Time to Heal.” His latest book, “Positivity Bias: Practical Lessons for Positive Living,”released in June 2019, is based on the life and teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, and is now in its fifth printing.
Speaking about his book, Kalmenson said: “In ‘Positivity Bias,’ we learn that life is essentially good; that positive perception is applicable and accessible to all; that it derives from objective, rational insight, not subjective, wishful imagination; and that positive living is a matter of choice, not circumstance. An inspiring and life-enriching tapestry woven from hundreds of stories, letters, anecdotes, and vignettes—‘Positivity Bias’ highlights how the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, considered the most influential rabbi in modern history, taught us to see ourselves, others, and the world around us.”
