Throughout my many years as a Bergenfield citizen, including a decade of service on the Bergenfield council, I have lived through multiple administrations and seen many colleagues in public service. Unlike his predecessor, Congressman Josh Gottheimer is a constant source of support for our district.

An important issue to me and to the many residents of Bergen County as well as the fifth district is feeling safe in places of worship. Bergen County comprises people with an array of religious beliefs. Despite differences in faith, we all agree that we should feel safe where we pray. Congressman Josh Gottheimer has always stood against anti-Semitism and discrimination, while simultaneously helping our district increase safety and security in our houses of worship. His push for non-profit security grants from the federal government has helped several shuls, schools and churches in the district—clawing back millions of dollars from the federal government to our places of worship.

Beyond his commitment in fighting discrimination and hate at every corner, I can trust Josh to do the work that is important to our constituents: keeping healthcare costs low, protecting our first responders and veterans, keeping lead water out of our schools and looking out for our most vulnerable communities.

From his first days in office, Congressman Gottheimer has stood up for and supported Israel’s right to exist and defend itself. We need pro-Israel representatives like Josh Gottheimer.
