Teaneck Families Pack ‘Supplies for Success’

On a recent Sunday morning, in a neighborhood south of Cedar Lane in Teaneck, Joshie (13) and Sarah (16) Rabitz, along with their parents, Yael and Steve Rabitz, met other neighborhood children and their parents on their front lawn to sort supplies and fill backpacks as part of a project sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey’s “Supplies for Success” program. Each backpack contained school supplies and PPE to help local Bergen County students start the year off right. With the warm weather and sunny skies, the event was a great way for neighborhood families to join outdoors in a productive effort to help the community. Each family was stationed at an (appropriately socially distanced) table on which paper, pens, pencils, scissors, glue, notebooks, hand sanitizer and other “goodies” were all packed with tender care. With an event like this, preparing for “back to school” was never more “in the bag.”
