RKYHS students participated in a pre-Rosh Hashanah program. They first learned in small groups about origins of simanim, including sources and background for how they were created and derived and how they are not halachically-based. They were challenged to create their own simanim and to find positive meaning throughout their lives and in any situation. This message was particularly poignant as they navigate life in the current pandemic. The program also included treats from each siman that were prepared by the RKYHS Jewish Life Committee.
