Bruriah Girls Remain Connected Through Tefillah

Despite Bruriah High School experiencing a temporary transition to distance learning the week after Sukkot, students were still able to connect through daily virtual Mincha! An especially meaningful part of Bruriah’s Mincha is their tradition of having a “Mincha minute,” an inspiring thought on tefillah or general Torah concepts. In order to have that same experience virtually, a teacher or student had the opportunity to send a virtual “Mincha minute” to her fellow students. Mincha, followed by a perek of Tehillim is such a special part of the day for the girls and all enjoyed that they were still able to daven together despite not being in the school building. Not only was the virtual Mincha a great reminder for all the girls to take time out of their busy schedules to connect with Hashem, but it allowed them to connect with their school community and see teachers and students that are not in their grades, unmasked. Having the virtual Mincha gave the girls an uplifting dose of normalcy in a challenging time and all were glad to reconnect with this special Bruriah tradition of davening together, as a school.
