(Courtesy of The Moriah School) The Moriah School held its 17th Annual “summer” outing on October 19. Originally taking place in the summer, Moriah postponed the event until the fall, rather than go virtual, and the result was a tremendous success. Held at the beautiful Alpine Country Club, attendance beat expectations with over 115 golfers and tennis players, as well as attendees for “Paint With Me!” with Nikki Sausen and “Mindful Yoga Flow” with Rebecca Gordon.
“This is a great tradition of Moriah’s and it’s really incredible that we were able to keep it going in what has clearly been, let’s say, an uncertain time,” said Moriah’s president of the board Steven Bleier. “Our donors have shown that the Moriah community is not afraid to step up to a challenge—when the going gets tough the tough get going and you certainly proved that pulling off this successful event.”
Moriah would like to thank CBRE, their lead event sponsor for the fourth year in a row. Moriah is grateful for the support and generosity they have shown to Moriah students, critical to the success of the mission of the school. Moriah would also like to thank Diamond sponsors Herrick Feinstein Law, Kensington Vanguard and the Meridian Capital Group, in addition to an incredibly long list of important corporate and family sponsors. A complete list of sponsors can be found at www.moriahgolf.org.
All of the funds raised at the Moriah annual outing support Moriah’s scholarship fund, which is essential to Moriah’s goal of not allowing financial hurdles to get in the way of a Moriah education.
A special thank you to the event chairs: Leah and Jacob Almo, Yardena and David Brickman, Alyx and Bernie Glezerman and Eeta and Jason Pinewski, as well as the entire Moriah solicitation committee.
Lastly, Moriah would like to thank the administration and staff for their work on this event, in particular Erik Kessler, Sara Tetievsky and Ari Lewis.
