Bruriah Has an Exciting Week Of Grade-Wide Programs

Last week, seniors had an engaging Q&A session with Mrs. Eisenman. Students had the opportunity to ask her all different types of questions to get to know her as the new principal, and as an individual. They asked questions about her family, her life outside of school and questions about her personal hashkafa and Israel. By the end of the program, they felt they had really gotten to know Mrs. Eisenman and felt her strong desire to connect with each and every student.

Seniors also benefited from a decisions program run by grade coordinator, Mrs. Skaist. As a grade, representatives were chosen to compete in small competitions and winners were decided. It was a great bonding experience for the grade while teaching the grade about the value of making decisions. Adira Sheffey, a senior in Bruriah, said “I learned that not every decision needs to be stressful, and that no matter what happens, I will end up where I need to be. I will take these lessons into consideration as I make my decision for Israel next year.”

Tenth graders were treated to an amazing school program as well. At the sophomore program, they played an entertaining game of Taboo with a twist! Instead of using a timer, girls had to finish a whole ice cream cone as fast as they could. This program was a great opportunity for the grade to bond and have a memorable time together!

Bruriah Freshmen joined in the fun for a grade-wide ‘Pictionary Party.’ The grade was randomly split into groups, where girls were challenged to quickly draw figures or items related to the school. The results were hilarious, and everyone had a great time guessing what the drawing was actually supposed to be. This was a great opportunity for the class to bond with their new grade while playing an exciting game. At the end of the program, they were treated to a delicious snack of Krispy Kreme donuts and hot chocolate.
