Yavneh Gan students discussed the concept of voting and voted on which color dry erase marker they should use for their new row on their 100 chart. They learned about tally marks and voted on their snack in a private booth with a private ballot.
The students discussed what a candidate is and who is running in this election. They talked about how long a presidential term is and how many terms a president can serve. The class talked about what the president’s job is and where he and the First Lady live.
The Yavneh students are now White House experts. They learned that there is a residence, an East Wing and a West Wing where the president has an Oval Office. There are also two pools, a movie theater and a bowling alley—wow!
