New Jersey Blood Services to Hold Blood Drives at Rinat Yisrael

New Jersey Blood Services, a division of the New York Blood Center, will hold a series of blood drives at Teaneck’s Rinat Yisrael, located at 389 West Englewood Avenue in Teaneck.

The drives will support local hospitals in the surrounding communities.

Donors must wear masks or face coverings, will have their temperature taken and must be 14 days symptom free if they’ve already been diagnosed with COVID-19. The center asks that those who’ve had a positive diagnosis of COVID-19 or experienced symptoms of the disease in the last 14 days, not attend. Those individuals currently on self-quarantine restrictions are unable to donate.

In order to remain in compliance with federal guidelines for social distancing, interested donors are encouraged to make an appointment by texting 917-699-9073.

The dates for the events are:

Tuesday, November 24, from 1 p.m. through 7 p.m.

Tuesday, December 29, from 1 p.m. through 7 p.m.

Those interested in donating should remember to eat, drink and bring their donor or photo ID. For more information on eligibility to donate, please visit: https://nybloodcenter.org/donate-blood/become-donor/can-i-donate-blood/

The event will not test for COVID-19.
