I was very happy to see an article about Asicha seminars in this week’s Jewish Link (“Asicha Seminars Offers Post-Seminary Learning for Women” October 29, 2020). I attended the first semester on hilchot bishul b’Shabbat, and I am currently attending the second semester on the ל”ט מלאכות. Your article gives me an opportunity to show some well-deserved hakarat hatov to Rabbi Jonah Steinmetz, as well as to the distinguished guest speakers, for providing in-depth, text-based shiurim that stimulate our minds. In addition,  Rabbi Steinmetz is a very talented educator whose sense of humor and creativity are a pleasure to behold. The shiurim are interactive and fun, two adjectives I never thought I’d associate with learning hilchot Shabbat.  I really hope more women join these seminars and take advantage of the wonderful opportunity to learn practical Halacha from its sources in an engaging and entertaining educational forum.
