The Highland Park 10U Owls had their inaugural season in 2020. They played in two separate leagues one in the spring and then one in the fall. The team worked extremely hard during the winter months honing their skills and their team chemistry. The team struggled at the start of the spring, beginning their season 0-4. They then rebounded with three wins in their last seven games, including a win against a previously undefeated team. The team lost in the first round of the playoffs by one run.
That season propelled the Owls into their fall season where they began the season with a resounding 14-0 no hitter victory. They cruised through the regular season going 10-0 and secured the #1 seed in the playoffs. Their first playoff game was a hard fought 10-3 victory where their pitching carried them and they pulled away in the later innings. In the championship, they faced their toughest test all season and defeated a very good team 10-4 to secure the championship. The 10U Owls were led all season by their pitching, great defense and timely hitting. The team is looking forward to tryouts this coming January and to defending their title.
