The Builder School Hosts Inaugural Open House

On November 17, ישיבת בוניך – The Builder School, a new coed Modern Orthodox Jewish High School, hosted its inaugural virtual Open House. Over 70 prospective students and parents came to hear about its innovative career-based educational model that enables students to focus on relevant learning towards a certification or licensure, as part of a well rounded, rigorous high school education. Rabbi Eliyahu Teitz, founder and head of school, and Jenni Levy, chief academic officer, dynamically conveyed its vision, mission and structure. A significant highlight of the evening was a video of three of the school’s advisors: Marc Stein, CEO of Links Residential Realty; Shai Shicly, local Teaneck electrician; and Dr. Esther Adler, director of the Pathology Residency Program at NYU, explored why the school’s vision is unique and forward-thinking. They highlighted the ways in which The Builder School’s model can enhance every student’s ability to succeed in their chosen career path upon graduation, whether they choose to pursue college and possible graduate degrees, or to enter the workforce immediately.  All three mentors spoke about the need for early training and relevant education for these career paths. An exciting Q&A session rounded out the evening. Check the website BuilderSchool.net for a video of the evening’s presentation.
