Every couple of months, the Adath Israel Sisterhood of Hillside/Elizabeth hosts its story slam, a memorable evening of storytelling by its members. No matter the theme, the event inevitably leads to tears, laughter and togetherness. This slam’s theme was “miracles,” not least of which is the miracle of the supportive and intimate community they’ve sustained through this pandemic.
