The Yeshivat He’Atid Parents Association planned a magical virtual Chanukah chagigah for Yeshivat He’Atid! The tremendous success of this event would not have been possible without the YHPA co-presidents, Jacqui Moskowitz and Ayelet Mermelstein, and the many other parent volunteers who worked so hard to make the event as memorable as past non-virtual ones. Parent volunteers braved the chilly weather to help package and distribute dinner (catered by Yafe caterers) and a gift bag for all the He’Atid families joining the event. Each family that attended had a wonderful time. The event began with families being welcomed into Rav Ronen’s home, via Zoom of course! After an energizing Chanukah dance party (see videos on Facebook!), they said the brachot, sang and lit the chanukiah together virtually. Then it was time for the show! He’Atid families joined the famous illusionist from America’s Got Talent, Eric Wilzig, as he showed incredible magic tricks and even taught the children how to do some at home with their new personalized deck of cards included in the gift bag. The evening ended with a raffle where students won everything from extra recess to ordered lunch on the school tab! What an amazing way to end Chanukah 2020!
