Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva pre-k students began their tzevaim b’ivrit unit and it’s off to a great start! Last week, the children began with the colors red and blue, adom and kachol. They learned the Hebrew names for these colors and began using the new vocabulary whenever possible. To make the tzevaim come to life, the children played games using the hebrew words, collaged items in the particular tzevah that they were learning and made something special for each color. They also played guessing games with things that are red and blue and found many of those colored items around their classroom! For adom, the children ate sliced red apples and for kachol, they enjoyed blueberries! They read many books about each color and substituted the Hebrew word every time they came across it.
Once the children go through the colors and learn about each one, they will come home with a large envelope full of their projects from each tzevah to review and enjoy again and again!
