Yavneh Academy third grade students recently began learning about people with hearing and vision impairments and the assistive devices and tools to support these individuals. This week, they were fortunate to learn from Yavneh’s grade three teacher, Morah Eleorah and her mother, Morah Judy, who have raised many seeing eye dogs. The students learned about the history of seeing eye dogs and the work required to train puppies. Afterwards, each class met Hope, Morah Eleorah’s seeing eye dog-in-training. This special experience was a great way to kick start the unit.
