After witnessing history as Joseph Biden and Kamala Harris were sworn in as the 46th president and vice president of the United States, seventh grade students gathered in the Epstein Stein Auditorium to watch “Hamilton” after school. The grade recently finished their “Road to Revolution” unit, and today’s screening, the same day as a momentous time for our country’s democracy, allowed them the opportunity to celebrate the foundation of the United States. The seventh grade students also watched Amanda Gorman’s riveting poem recitation from the inauguration and discussed and wrote their interpretations of it.
