In a community like Teaneck with such a quickly responsive, well-trained, fully staffed, highly professional and all around wonderful volunteer ambulance corps, there is no reason for Hatzolah to set up shop here. This happens every now and again, and is really unnecessary. The point of Hatzolah, which is a worthy organization
in its own right, is to get there more quickly than the municipal EMS services and provide quality care. That’s not an issue in Teaneck. My family has had numerous calls to TVAC over the past few years. I don’t think we ever waited more than two minutes, and without exception each time the care has been exemplary. I stand in strong support of Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps and its members, and discourage Hatzolah from setting up shop here and taking much-needed resources from a wonderful, and wonderfully run, organization.
