Connecting to Israel is an important part of Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva. This year, the school has partnered with Resheet School in Gush Eztion, Israel to deepen that connection. Resheet School is a religious elementary school that promotes inclusion of students with special needs. This partnership has allowed the students in both schools to observe life as a Jewish child in another country as well as opening meaningful conversations. In their last Zoom “get together,” RPRY seventh grade boys and Resheet School eighth grade boys took a virtual tour of the Kotel tunnels, learning the inspiring history surrounding them. Prior to the tour, all the students participated in a writing activity about Yerushalayim and their connection to this holy city. The students are looking forward to their next get together on Yom Yerushalayim or Yom Ha’atzmaut!
