I never met Max Wisotsky personally. As an avid letter writer and passionate supporter of Israel and Jewish causes, I met Max virtually through a mutual friend. That friend recognized that we would be a compatible fit, since both Max and I have the same mindset regarding these two subjects. Similarly, both Max and I share the need to put our feelings into words. Thus a friendship was born. We very often share similar ideas and thoughts through email, and every so often we disagree.
However, over and over I have been impressed with Max’s depth, intelligence and academic knowledge as well as his compassion, not just for Israel and Jews, but for all things human. Max’s sincerity, along with his passion for what is right, is in complete sync with my own values.
Finally, even though I have not met this special man, I feel as if I know him very well. May Hashem grant Max good health with his family for years to come, and may Max continue writing his inspiring and profound letters that definitely make a difference.
