The children at Gan Yaldenu Tots celebrated Yom Ha’atzmaut by taking an imaginary trip to Israel. They were excited to wear their hats or tie-dyed T-shirts they made on their trip to Israel. The classes got a turn to ride the airplane, eat a snack and sing some songs. The children got to stamp their passports, daven at the Kotel and dance to some Hebrew songs. The older classes wrote notes to Hashem to put into the Kotel. In honor of Yom Ha’atzmaut the school had falafel for lunch. As a special treat to end the day the classes had ice cream cake that they made with an Israeli flag on it. The children had so much fun celebrating Israel’s birthday and enjoyed their trip to Israel.
