For the first time this year, all four grades were in the building together on a Thursday to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut. The entire student body joined together b’simcha with an inspirational musical tefillah followed by a heart pumping concert by NACHAS! A special shout out went out to the Rapids making aliyah next year including Rachel Safran (‘22), Elisheva Raskas (‘21) and Dena Block (‘04), director of Admissions. Students were treated to an Israeli lunch and special Israeli themed activities throughout the day including Panoply, Escape the Zoom Room and more. The day also included special themed shiurim on topics such as the symbolism of the Israeli flag, and panel discussions on Sabbatical in Israel, American Dream, My Experience in Shana Ba’Aretz, and Serving in Tzahal featuring a guest virtual visit with recent chayal Alex Neugroschl. The joy of being together to celebrate Israel was palpable and uplifting for all.
