This week, seniors had their first three seminars geared toward providing them with experiences and discussions to help them as they move on after high school. Tuesday’s theme was remaining committed in a secular workplace. JEC alum and former GO President Doron Greenspan came to speak about his experiences and the importance of placing God at the center of our lives in every situation. He was followed by Rav E.M. Teitz who addressed halachic questions the boys may face as they enter the workforce.
Wednesday’s topic was learning to create and maintain healthy relationships and identifying unhealthy or abusive ones. Two members of the Shalom Task Force came in to speak to the boys about boundaries, respect and care, taught them the warning signs to be aware of and shared ways to get help and guidance in these areas.
On Thursday, the JEC rebbeim spoke to the boys about inyanei kedusha and the internet. The school also hosted Reb Yossi Strickman of Project Trust who spoke about internet safety and mental health.
