Having Your say in the Link With Aryeh Moskowitz

Photographed by David Beyda

On Parshat Emor:

Hashem tells us to leave a corner of our field unharvested so the poor can come and take. Why not give directly? To teach us that it’s better to give anonymously so as not to potentially embarrass the recipient.

Israel memories:

Yeshivat Hakotel. Dancing down to the Kotel every Friday night. Vatikin Shabbos morning then going to Rav Nebentzal for a kiddush and dvar Torah. Nothing like living in the Old City!

Favorite music:

Country music has a way of creating a story, a moment, and taking you there. Unanswered Prayers by Garth Brooks is my favorite.

On selling cars:

When I turned 16 and got my driver’s license, I bought and sold my first two cars over the summer. There is nothing better than being able to make your career out of your hobby.

On motorcycle adventures:

Riding out West and riding to Hoover Dam. Open twisty roads with no traffic and beautiful scenery. Peaceful. Zen. Valley of Fire was an amazing ride!

On dating:

When dating my wife, Gabi I mentioned living in a home in the suburbs with 4-5 cars and she corrected me saying “you mean kids”, and I said, “did I say kids because I meant cars”. Luckily for me they both worked out.

On success:

The Navy Seals have a 40% rule. When you think you’re at 100% you’re really only at 40%. Keep pushing!

On exotic cars:

I’ve bought and sold most everything out there, Aston Martins to Lamborghinis, and I enjoy them all. I go to a race track annually. Nothing like safely and legally pushing a car to its limits!

On shidduchim:

You call me up and I set you up with the perfect car.
