Ohr Yisroel is pleased to announce that R’ Shlomo Gaisin will be joining the faculty for the 2021-2022 school year. R’ Shlomo serves as composer and singer for Zusha, a band whose founding principle is that songs which emanate from the heart enter the heart. R’ Shlomo will be teaching a daily shiur on music, tefillah and meditation. Zusha has released five studio albums to-date, weaving words of Torah that transcend beyond time with 21st century creativity and artistry. R’ Shlomo has traveled to synagogues, college campuses and music venues across the world, intermittently sharing stories and teachings of tzadikim in order to truly ignite and uplift souls in Jewish song. Shortly after COVID struck, R’ Shlomo decided to illuminate social media with his very first series of classes entitled “Tales of Tzadikim.” R’ Shlomo currently lives in Monsey with his wife Chanalee. Adding R’ Shlomo represents another creative element of Ohr Yisroel’s mission to bring yiddishkeit to life on behalf of its talmidim.
