The Bruriah sophomores were privileged to hear from Rabbi Chaim Marcus, of Congregation Israel in Springfield, who shared a beautiful story emphasizing how important it is to respect and help one another. The sophomores left the learning experience with a better understanding of how special it is to be a Jew and what it means to help another Jew. Afterwards, they were surprised with an ice cream truck! They enjoyed the refreshing ice cream in the great weather outside. It was so nice to have the whole grade together gaining meaningful insights, enjoying yummy food and, of course, stickers! The stickers for the program said “ice cream respect,” summing up the program.
