This past Sunday morning RYNJ first graders received their Chumashim! The morning began with a musical performance that was pre-recorded and viewed at home with family. The beautiful sound of young children singing created a moving and spiritually uplifting experience that prepared them to receive their new Chumashim! A short while later the excited first graders arrived at RYNJ together with their families and participated in a Chumash Parade. With music playing each child accepted their Chumash from their morot, gold-stamped with their Hebrew name and accompanied by sweets and treats. The atmosphere was festive and exciting! Upon returning to yeshiva on Monday, talmidim and talmidot jumped right into learning the first pasuk in Parshat Bereishit. RYNJ, in partnership with RYNJ families, look forward to nurturing the Torah growth of students as they develop into bnei and bnot Torah.
