Edison Mayoral Candidate Sam Joshi Addresses Jewish Community

A small crowd came out to the home of Craig Prupis on May 25 to meet Edison mayoral candidate Sam Joshi and the council candidates on his slate: Margot Harris, John Poyner and Nishith Patel. Joshi was introduced by both Prupis and Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, who spoke of his continued ties to the Edison community and his support for Joshi.

Joshi has been an activist for police and public safety reform; worked as an Edison Police dispatcher; was a member of the Edison Fair Rental Housing Authority and the Zoning Board of Adjustment; and served as the Edison Council’s vice president for two years. His platform for Edison includes redevelopment for Woodbridge Avenue; the restoration of the Middlesex Greenway and creation of an outdoor Museum of Women’s History; building a new public high school off of Kilmer Road; and creating a new marina on the Raritan River.
