JFCS Offers ‘Cancer 101’ Via Zoom

Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey (JFSCNJ) will be presenting “Cancer 101: Learn How Cancer Develops, Screening Guidelines and Lifestyle Factors to Help Reduce Risk for Certain Cancers,” on Tuesday, July 6, 11 a.m.-noon, aia Zoom. This free program will be led by Evelyn Fuertes.

Fuertes is a nutrition and dietetic technician, registered (NDTR) and a bilingual community cancer control specialist at the Rutgers Cancer Institute in New Jersey, where she provides education on cancer screening, awareness and prevention. She has been working in the community for the last six years in outreach and educational capacities. Her mission is to empower people to advocate for their health.

The program is funded by the Lavy House Senior Resource Center and the Standish Foundation. All those who register and attend will be entered for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Amazon.
