Dear Shayna B.,
I am so bored during the summer. My parents are always working. I’m getting bored of playing with the stuff in the house. I’m only allowed to watch TV a little bit each day. It’s too hot to go outside. I don’t have any pets to play with. What should l do?
Sincerely,
Bored Bella
Dear Bored Bella,
That’s a tricky problem. But never fear! I am here! You can finish your summer homework, call a friend who’s at home, go to the library, and go to a local pool. Next year, l recommend going to camp. There are many good activities there. Popular camps are Regesh, Moshava and Shalom, to name a few… Camps have fun activities, such as archery, boating, swimming (both free swim and instructional), baking, arts and crafts, pottery, sports, davening, challenges and the list goes on… I don’t think you’ll be bored after you do all that, but if you are, there’s always summer school.
Best of luck,
Shayna B.
