(Courtesy of Camp Moshava) Spending Rosh Hashanah in Camp Moshava is not a new idea. It’s something that Camp Director Alan Silverman has thought about many times, although because the High Holidays usually fall out later in the fall it is just too cold to be a real option. This year, with Rosh Hashanah falling out in early September, Camp Moshava is thrilled to be able to offer a long six-day family getaway starting on Friday of Labor Day weekend going through Wednesday night of Rosh Hashanah.
Over Labor Day weekend families will be able to take full advantage of Moshava’s facilities and enjoy the following activities: the ropes course, basketball, tennis, family softball, bread and challah making, the gaga pit, boating, archery, swimming, boating, arts and crafts, a hay ride, hikes, bonfires with marshmallows, tether ball, and much more!
Then, for the first time ever, Moshava will open its gates, roads and fields for a beautiful Rosh Hashanah where families will enjoy beautiful tefillot and thought-provoking lectures throughout the Yom Tov. Camp is the perfect place to offer child care and activities throughout the tefillot and days of Rosh Hashanah. Being in the scenic mountains will allow families to experience the serenity of the New Year in a way that’s never been experienced before.
