The JKHA middle school students participated in their Moadim L’STEAMcha Program, an experiential interdisciplinary program where students learn about the upcoming holiday and connect it to a STEAM lesson and project. For Rosh Hashanah, they learned about the importance of reflection. They discussed why we need to reflect on our actions from the past year, which includes our positive and unique traits and how students can use those traits this year to help others and the world around us. Students then learned about how reflection and mirrors work in science classes.

As a culminating activity, students created trivets for their Yom Tov tables. These trivets were made out of mirrors and tiles so they can remember the importance of reflection this time of year.
