Honorees at this year’s dinner held at the Glenpointe Hotel were Joseph Stobezki, Jennifer Prince Wimpfheimer, and Chani Lichtiger.
Joseph Stobezki, the Guest of Honor, was an active board-member for many years and the first Yavneh Academy alumnus to become a Yavneh Academy president.
Jennifer Prince Wimpfheimer, Yavneh’s Volunteer Service Award Recipient, has chaired the Annual Carnival from 2008 through 2010, served the YPAA as Vice President from 2009 through 2011 and was Co-President from 2011 through 2013. Jennifer has served on Yavneh’s board since 2010 and on the Finance Committee since 2009.
Chani Lichtiger, Yavneh’s Faculty Award Recipient, has been the Director of Educational Technology at Yavneh Academy for nearly 20 years.
Two new programs were also introduced. The Yavneh Academy Challenge Grant was launched to inspire contributions to the Yavneh Academy 2014 Annual Dinner Campaign. The goal of this program was to raise money, over and above what was raised from last year’s dinner and the superior dual education that motivates the school’s students to be lifelong learners. Yavneh Academy also launched a Building Campaign as part of its commitment to provide the school’s students with an environment that nurtures their love of learning and also provides the proper tools so they can succeed in years to come.
