Academies at GBDS second grade reading is off to an exciting start! In small groups, the students are learning spelling rules and patterns through direct explicit and multisensory instruction. Using the Superkids program, students are building their vocabulary, comprehension and inferencing skills while highly engaged through meaningful small group instruction.

The Liebowitz Learning Library’s mission is to develop foundational literacy skills in kindergarten through second grade so that students learn to read and then read to learn; to explore fiction and non-fiction works of literature in third through sixth grade and encourage a lifelong love of reading for all students at Academies at GBDS.
