Election Day Comes to Moriah Kindergarten

Moriah kindergarten children enjoyed learning about the concept of elections and appreciated the opportunity we have in our country to have our voices heard and to influence our circumstances. After classes discussed the concept, they decided to hold our own in-class election. The children voted on which snack was their favorite—rice cakes, apples, or cereal. Each child voted using a private ballot. The ballots were tallied, and cereal got the most votes! Students then graphed the results to see a visual representation. It was exciting to be able to share their opinions with each other!
