As part of the work of The Idea Institute, the professional development arm of The Idea School, teachers trained local and national Jewish institutions in Project-Based Learning concepts and how to integrate these principles and methods into the classroom. Educators at Yeshivat Noam, CIJE and the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy in Overland Park, Kansas learned about driving authentic learning through inquiry and exploring real world challenges; staples of the PBL model. The Idea School faculty also spent a day doing professional development for themselves; exploring challenges, celebrating successes and tuning each other’s projects.
