This coming Thursday morning, November 25 (Thanksgiving Day), the CBY beit midrash is excited to present two pre-Chanukah shiurim beginning at 9 a.m. in the CBY social hall.
Internationally sought-after maggid shiur Rabbi Aryeh Lebowitz, director of semicha at RIETS and mara d’atra of Beis Haknesses of North Woodmere, will be discussing interesting aspects of and she’elot regarding Chanukah. In addition, Rabbi Eli Belizon, rabbi of the Young Israel of Fair Lawn, will be presenting a shiur on hashkafic lessons from Chanukah. A light breakfast will be served.
We have a lot to be thankful for in our community. From the numerous school choices, to the abundance of eateries, to the hundreds of weekly minyanim offered for our growth and convenience, and the list goes on…
One of the more overlooked offerings of the Bergen County community is the plethora of Torah learning opportunities available. We are home to countless daily, weekly and monthly shiurim that cater to audiences of every level. On many occasions throughout the year we have the opportunity to hear from and interact with world renowned scholars and talmidei chachamim.
The Thanksgiving mornings shiurim and light breakfast, as well as CBY’s year-round Yitzchak Yaakov Kollel boker led by Rabbi Zvi Sobolofsky, are sponsored by the Belizon family in memory of Dr. Yitzchak Belizon, Yitzchak Yakov Ben Tzvi, a”h.
Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to learn Torah and be inspired by these talmidei chachamim!
