On December 10, 2019, members of Jewish communities and other concerned citizens throughout New Jersey were shocked as news spread of an attack that day by two assailants on the JC Kosher Supermarket in Jersey City, leaving four innocent victims dead and others injured.
The Borough of Highland Park Human Relations Commission (HRC) will hold a memorial service on Friday, December 10 at 10 a.m., in the HP Community Center parking lot (220 S. 6th Ave.) to commemorate the victims of the shooting spree in Jersey City. Speakers will include Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop; Rutgers Chabad leader Rabbi Mendy Carlebach (a chaplain of the Port Authority who was in Jersey City on December 10, 2019); and a pastor of the Reformed Church of Highland Park.
All are invited to attend.
