Recently, the Moriah School kindergarten students celebrated their reading accomplishments. Each child, in turn, had the opportunity to come up to the front of the room and read a poem aloud to the class. These are poems that were chosen by the children, poems that they’ve enjoyed during their shared reading sessions. It was so wonderful to see the excitement and pride on everyone’s faces!
They then enjoyed a new game, called Sight Word Bingo. Each child had fun locating their sight words on their board as they were called. There were a few Bingo winners and lots of good reading fun!
