Dear Shayna B,
I read your column every week and I just wanted to tell you that I love it! Anyway, my name is Ezzy and I recently got new black Air Force shoes. I think they are really cool, but my siblings make fun of me for getting them. What should I do?
Sincerely,Easy Going Ezzy
Dear Easy Going Ezzy,
With all due respect to your siblings, who cares what they think? Your shoes are YOUR shoes, not their shoes. It’s up to YOU to decide whether your shoes are pretty or ugly. If you think your shoes are worthwhile, then that’s good for you. If your siblings think your shoes are ugly, then good for them. You should wear your shoes. Have you ever heard the expression, if you’ve got it, flaunt it? It means don’t hide what you like. If you decide not to flaunt it, at least remember, no matter what your shoes look like, snow is a lot colder on bare feet.
Best of luck,Shayna B.
