To mark Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Rebbetzin Debra Spivak came to speak to RPRY middle schoolers. She spoke about the racial inequities in our society and her own personal experience as a biracial Orthodox Jew. The fifth graders prepared a skit about what it was like to grow up at a time in the United States before the Civil Rights Movement. They performed it for the first grade, teaching them about what segregation was like and how MLK was a leader in changing this reality and making our country better.
