‘The Event Space’ at Brook Haven Mall Will Open in March

The Event Space at the Brook Haven Mall in Passaic is nearing completion and booking dates start in mid-March, after Purim. The room can seat approximately 110 couples, making it an ideal venue for bar/bat mitzvah celebrations, vorts, Sheva Brachot, and engagement parties. With a dedicated spot for a Sefer Torah, The Event Space can host Shabbos events with davening as well as meals.

Mark Raider, Brook Haven CEO said there is a shortage of venues in the area and The Event Space will be a welcome addition. “I have many friends who couldn’t find a suitable hall for their simcha,” he noted.

The Event Space was designed by CL Studio Design Associates, known for designing many halls in the New York Metro area. “We wanted a beautiful hall that would enhance any simcha taking place in it,” Raider said.

Meals will be catered by Chef Weiss who runs the “Take One Deli” in the adjacent Aisle One supermarket, an all-inclusive Kosher food emporium that opened in August 2021. Chef Weiss has an established background in large scale catering and runs the Keren V’Yoel Moshe Banquet Hall in Kiryas Joel. Chef Weiss will supply all the food, linens and table/seating arrangements at Event Space. Hosts are free to bring in party planners and their choice of vendors for entertainment, décor, flowers and photography.

Chef Weiss has several menu packages planned for both weekday and Shabbos events, with a range of choices and prices. Raider said Chef Weiss catered his son’s recent bar mitzvah and he never had so many compliments on the food.

When completed, Brook Haven Mall is expected to have over 100,000 square feet of retail space, restaurants and service providers and a multi-level parking deck. The one-stop-shopping destination for the kosher shopper is being rolled out in phases, with several retailers scheduled to open in March. Accessibility is planned from the mall’s parking deck on weekdays and on Shabbos from Terhune Avenue, with the rest of the mall closed off.
