OU to Host Community Fair on Sunday

For the last several months, I’ve been writing articles highlighting different frum communities throughout the country. My goal is to help identify areas where people can find an affordable, unique quality of life compared to the New York metro area. The Orthodox Union (OU) is hosting a fair on February 13, which will highlight more than 50 such communities. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested in purchasing a home to check out this virtual conference in the comfort of their homes to see these many exciting cities and what they have to offer.

As a host of this event, I will have a booth and speak in the virtual auditorium at 2 pm.

My topic is “How to win next time you make an offer,” offering some thoughts and strategies on how to make your offer stronger.

Currently, there are simply not enough homes available for the number of buyers in the market. This low inventory is causing prices to increase due to bidding wars, as many offers are submitted for each home. People hoping to purchase a new home find themselves submitting offers higher than the list price and, sometimes, even the higher price isn’t proving successful.

At the OU fair, I intend to highlight some practices that may help hopeful buyers find success in their attempts to bid on their dream homes. In addition, I will propose an idea to help buyers work together to create new inventory.

Register for the OU Virtual Fair by visiting www.ou.org/fair/. Anyone who visits my booth to learn how to move one step closer to becoming a homeowner will be entered in a raffle for a $250 gift card.

In addition, I will be hosting a meeting on February 22 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Therapy Gym, 1400 Palisade Avenue, in Teaneck, to address these ideas as well as other points for new homebuyers. Food will be served. Please contact me today if you are interested in attending. RSVPs for this event are required. (Other than offering the space to meet, The Therapy Gym is not affiliated with this event. Please don’t RSVP to them.)
