TABC Group Takes Second Place at CIJE Hackathon

TABC sent 10 students, along with their coach Aryeh Tiefenbrunn, to the CIJE Hackathon last Wednesday. The students worked in two groups and were tasked with developing and prototyping an invention to combat climate change. One group developed a device to sort recyclables and keep track of how much of each kind of recycling the user has put in. The other group’s invention measured and tracked CO2 emissions from a car exhaust pipe, keeping users informed of their carbon footprint. After presenting their projects alongside other teams from a dozen different schools, the CO2 Counter won second place! TABC is proud of its brilliant and innovative students, and the creativity and ingenuity they showed at this exhilarating event.
