TABC was decked out in pink last Wednesday as the school marked Pink Day. The day started out with the whole school davening together, after which students heard from parent Linda Perchuk who shared her journey in a riveting keynote address. After breakfast, which of course included pink donuts, the students then broke out into various shiurim led by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yosef Adler, Rabbi Yehuda Avner, Rabbi Jake Berman, Rabbi Dovid Einhorn, Rabbi Michael Hoenig, Rabbi Raphi Mandelstam and Rabbi Yoni Mandelstam. Shiurim titles ranged from “Supporting Friends in Times of Need” to “How Honest Should a Doctor Be with a Patient?” TABC collectively raised over $8,000 for Sharsheret. Part of the funds raised came from the raffling off of custom-designed Air Jordan sneakers donated by Natan Solomon ‘22 and designed by Ari Solomon ‘18. Thank you to Pink Day’s Commander-in-Chief Donna Hoenig, who year after year leads this meaningful day, which started at TABC and quickly became a phenomenon in schools across the country. Thank you as well to event chairs Yehuda From ‘22 and Elisha Markovitz ‘22 and the many committee members who helped make the day a success!
