Excitement was in the air last week at the JEC LS! In anticipation of Rosh Chodesh Adar Sheni, eighth grade students danced through the halls singing “Mishenichnas Adar marbim b’simcha.” They entered each Lower School classroom with contagious energy, leading and dancing with the entire Lower School to the gym for a big Adar celebration! It was there that the simcha in the school reached new heights with the announcement of color war!
In recognition of Adar and the upcoming chag of Purim, the color war teams were the four mitzvot of Purim. Bruriah High School seniors joined students as team captains this year and early childhood joined us as the cheer squad! Students participated in various activities such as sports games, Hungry Hippos, Purim chidon, stomp, song, banner and so much more! The day ended with a school-wide unity song and a special chagiga where all students regardless of team color, joined together arm in arm in beautiful song!
Students truly enjoyed a special Rosh Chodesh color war together on the road of kavod!
